Both Italy's and China's desire is to win this tournament, therefore, both teams are filled with spirit and confident.
The beginning of the first set both teams played equally not willing to give a single point to their opponent. Although the game started out with an equal score, 7-7, China's repetitive mistakes gave Italy the opportunity to lead this set. China's ambitions for victory brought the score 12-12, and continued to play an equal match against Italy until 30-30.
The nice consecutive digs of Italy against the tricky tips of SUN, Yue lead to there fine plays, ending up the first set 32-30. The start of the second set, very intense, both teams not letting each other score. The speedy offensive play of China, and the powerful back-row attack of Italy triggers both teams continue both teams play equally. Although the score was 23-23, Italy's player, RINIERI, Simona's timid fake gave China a chance to reach for the victory.
At the end of the game China, once again arises on top of Italy, finishes the set 25-23. In the third set the flow of the game went to Italy. The repetition of RINIERI, Simona's nice serves, gave Italy the lead 4-1. In response,
China's player, WU, Yongmei, showed speedy transition attacks but, failed to even up the score because of the strong offensive play of Italy.
The perfect block of Italy, at the beginning of the game, gave them an advantage, continuing to spread the score and leave China behind 25-19. The fourth set started out with an equal intense game again. The two consecutive errors of SUN, Yue gave their opponents the flow of the game. The consistent idealistic play of China doesn't appear in this set. Instead, they continue making irrelevant plays, and they are unsuccessful of bringing back their usual pace to this game. Unfortunately, China ends up with two losses in a row. In contrast, Italy had three consecutive glorious victories, which gives them a tremendous opportunity for the winning the ticket to the Olympics.

General Comment: HU, Jin (CHN Head Coach)
Our team has done a very good job. Italy's block was so high and we could not receive their strong spikes.

SNU, Yue (CHN Captain)
I was not satisfied with the result, however, the match itself was a high-level one. The cause of loss is attributed to block. We will make even greater effort from now on to be qualified.

LI, Yan ( CHN Player)
Both Italy and China did our best, however we were short of block power. There are still more matches to go and we will do our utmost.

Angiolino FRIGONI (ITA Head Coach)
We fought against three strong teams till now. But still there is a long way to win the ticket to the Olympics, so we will do our best. While CHN was not very well in defensive play today, we could do well in both serving and defensive play.

I am satisfied with this game. We could keep our concentration today. What I want to say is that the change of the team member leads this win.
